HUMAN RESOURCES PRACTITIONER: PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM & TRAINING

Job Profile:

  • Provide support to immediate supervisor in respect of administrative tasks associated with skills
    development, performance management tasks and employee performance appraisals
  • Prepare tasks for training programs and career development, provide feedback in terms of training and development indicators and administer and control issuing of training equipment
  • Coordinate and administer evaluation of training provided and bursary applications
  • Assist with implementation of succession planning and talent management and personal development plans
  • Create requisitions for purchases, receive invoices for payment and monitor the budget of identified projects
  • Provide departmental support (Division: Human Resources) by attending meetings, preparing and
    circulating minutes, answering telephonic calls, maintaining the employee filing system etc.
  • Improve staff skills, performance and knowledge through skills development
  • Coordinate, provide advice and guidance for the project optimization process to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
  • Responsible for coaching and mentoring of students to ensure effective management of internal skills development and retention
  • Coordinate the implementation of the organisation’s Performance Management and Development System (PMDS), provide administrative support with the divisional, departmental and municipal moderation committees as well as coordination of the performance rewards processes/system
  • Manage the administration of the electronic performance management system
    Requirements:
  • A relevant 3-year tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or related field
  • 2 – 5 years relevant experience required
  • Computer Literacy: MS Office
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Language proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
  • Must be willing to attend meetings and workshops after hours on request
  • Good managerial competencies (planning, organizing, leading and control)
  • Good business writing and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Patience and ability to communicate on all levels
  • Must adhere to urgent conflicting and pre-determined deadlines
    Salary band: R339 300 – R440 400 per annum
    Post Level: T11
