A multidisciplinary team of social scientists and public health experts work at the HSRC’s Public Health, Societies and Belonging research section. They carry out a large number of empirical and policy-related studies annually, three-quarters of which are supported by donors. To enhance health and well-being and advance a socially equitable and cohesive society, the Public Health, Societies, and Belonging division carries out transdisciplinary, intersectional, policy, and program-relevant research. PHSB maintains offices in Pietermaritzburg, Cape Town, and Pretoria. To join a vibrant group of researchers in the HSRC community, the division is looking to hire one master’s intern. One of the HSRC offices will serve as the incumbent’s base.
RESEARCH MASTERS TRAINEE One position headquartered in Pretoria, Pietermaritzburg (Sweetwaters), or Cape Town Citation: M Int08/2025 By collaborating with subject matter experts and project professionals, the HSRC’s Masters Research Internship aims to give selected applicants the chance to hone their research skills. The rigorous research internship program looks for mature people who can work both alone and collaboratively.
