Requirements: Basic literacy at NQF Level 1. (Departmental Proficiency Test). Certificates of Competency in Operation of Truck and the operation of Heavy Plant will be an advantage. Valid Code EC driver’s licence with PDP. One (1) to two (2) years relevant experience in Road maintenance and construction work. Applicant must be literate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
Responsibilities/ Duties: The incumbent will be responsible for the operation and utilisation of tip and water trucks, as well as one additional light construction machine during road construction and maintenance. Maintaining timesheets, vehicle and petrol logs and load safety.
The competency level for this position is a level 3 as stipulated in Annexure A of the Municipal Staff Regulations Government Notice No. 890 as promulgated in Government Gazette 45181 dated 20 September 2021 and comprises of the following competencies.

Salary: T-6 = R 164 076 – R 213 000 per annum plus the normal fringe benefits of a Local Authority.
